SSS officers detain several officials of regional administration in Andijan for receiving $128,000 in bribe
The State Security Service (SSS) prevented several cases of illegal land sales in Andijan region.
In particular, an employee of the Department of Small Industrial Zones under the regional administration conspired with two of his partners. During the preliminary investigation, it was found out that for their services, the detainees had already received $7,000 in advance.
In addition, they had to transfer $70,000 from the total amount to a friend working at the Andijan regional Department of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, who was also detained during a further operational event when receiving the money.
Currently, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the perpetrators under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
