Anti-Corruption Agency announces the number of people prosecuted for corruption in 2020
In 2020, more than 2,200 people in Uzbekistan were accused of corruption.
According to the Anti-Corruption Agency, of the 2,200 people accused of corruption last year, 2,100 were prosecuted.
Reportedly, 642 of them committed corruption for personal gain, 598 – created conditions for corruption, 262 – did not ensure fair working conditions, 45 – violated public procurement legislation and another 45 – did not adhere to transparency in recruitment.
