The review was conducted by the Compliance and Internal Anti-Corruption Control Service established within the Tashkent city administration.
The service examined records concerning 29 employees with previous criminal convictions, including six employees of district administrations and 23 employees of organizations within the city administration system. It also reviewed information on 1,353 employees who had committed administrative offences.
As a result, employment contracts with two employees who had committed criminal offences were terminated. Another employee was transferred to a different position as part of a rotation process.
Preventive discussions were held in the remaining cases. The leadership of the relevant district administrations was also instructed to consider transferring the employees to other positions, strengthen oversight of their day-to-day activities and increase their personal accountability.
The information on the 1,353 employees who had committed administrative offences was forwarded to their direct supervisors. They were instructed to conduct individual explanatory meetings with each employee.
According to the Tashkent city administration, the measures are aimed at strengthening workplace discipline and preventing similar violations from recurring.
