Gov’t increases amount of pensions to World War II participants
The minimum amount of pension for persons with disabilities and participants of World War II, as well as prisoners of camps and blockades, has been increased to 2.5 million soums.
This is stated in the presidential decree “On measures to further strengthen the material support of participants in the World War II”.
“The minimum amount of pension and allowances to be paid to persons with disabilities and participants in the war of 1941-1945, as well as to former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps and people who worked during the blockade of Leningrad has been increased to 2.5 million soums from May 10, 2021,” the text of the document says.
Off-budgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance and the republican budget will cover expenses of the implementation of this decree.
The Ministry of Finance, together with the related ministries and departments, has been instructed to submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers within two months on amendments and additions to the legislation arising from this decree.
