Turkey overtakes China in terms of establishing new enterprises in Uzbekistan
As of May 1, 2021, the number of enterprises and organizations with foreign capital registered in the country stands at 13 thousand, of which 12.5 thousand are operating.
The number of operating enterprises with foreign capital increased by 1,557 compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee reported.
The number of enterprises operating with foreign capital by country:
- Russia – 2,199
- China – 1,867
- Turkey – 1,714
- Kazakhstan – 991
- Korea – 894
The number of newly established enterprises with foreign capital in January-April 2021:
- Turkey – 164
- Russia – 119
- China – 94
- Kazakhstan – 78
- Korea – 28
Turkey, for the first time in years, has overtaken China in terms of creating new enterprises in Uzbekistan, the committee added.
