Tashkent khokim to found special stipend for schoolchildren and their teachers from September

The khokim of Tashkent Jakhongir Artikhodjayev is planning to found a new stipend for schoolchildren and their teachers starting from the coming academic year. The amount of the stipend for children will be 500,000 soums, for teachers – 1 million soums.

As part of the “Five Initiative Movement” program, the Tashkent city khokim held an open dialogue with young people. According to a Kun.uz correspondent, Jakhongir Artikhodjayev spoke at the event about the introduction of stipends for schoolchildren.

“We have a plan this year to provide stipends to schoolchildren. Starting from September, 5 schoolchildren will receive a special stipend in the amount of 500,000 soums a month and their teacher – 1 million soums,” Artikhodjayev said.
