Number of mobile subscribers nears 27 million
The number of mobile subscribers in Uzbekistan has approached 27 million, the State Statistics Committee reports.

As of April 1, 2021, the number of subscribers connected to the mobile communication system amounted to 26,953,000, which is 10.8% more than in 2020.
According to the committee, there are in average 72 devices per 100 people.
The number of mobile subscribers in terms of years: April 1, 2019 - 21,960,200, April 1, 2020 – 24,316,700, April 1, 2021 - 26,953,500.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the level of mobile coverage in the republic reached 98%. This year, it is planned to increase the total number of stations by 33,700, and thereby increase the level of mobile coverage to 99%.
Recently, 5,641 mobile base stations have been put into operation bringing their total number to 31,740.
