Coronavirus: Number of daily cases nears 400, two more patients die

The Health Ministry reported that about 400 new cases had been registered in the past day, about 300 people recovered from the disease and two patients died.

“On June 16, 2021, the number of registered coronavirus infection cases in Uzbekistan is 104,834 (+371),” the report said.

This has been the highest figure since May 12.

Reportedly, 170 new cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 5 – in Karakalpakstan, 8 – in Andijan, 15 – in Bukhara, 21 – in Jizzakh, 10 – in Kashkadarya, 3 – in Navoi, 5 – in Namangan, 40 – in Samarkand, 6 – in Syrdarya, 27 – in Surkhandarya, 19 – in Fergana, 3 – in Khorezm and 39 – in Tashkent region.
During the day yesterday:

The number of recovered stands at 100,623 (+295) people, and the recovery rate – at 96%.

Also, 2 patients died yesterday. The death toll has reached 713.

Currently, 3498 patients are being treated in hospitals.
