City of Tashkent marked as “red”, Tashkent and Samarkand regions – “yellow”
The city of Tashkent is marked as “red” zone, Samarkand and Tashkent region – “yellow” zones. This was reported by the Health Ministry press service.
Taking into account regional analysis of the prevalence of coronavirus infection, based on the state of the dynamics of recovery of patients diagnosed with the disease, the procedure for dividing the regions into “green”, “yellow” and “red” zones was re-introduced:
- “Red” zone – the city of Tashkent;
- “Yellow” zones – Samarkand and Tashkent regions.
“The Sanitary-Epidemiological Surveillance and Public Health Service is responsible for categorizing and communicating the zones to the general public, and this service regularly publishes information on zones that have changed in an orderly manner due to the epidemiological situation,” the statement said.
It should be recalled that due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation, access to Tashkent has been restricted since June 28. In addition, from June 28, there will be restrictions on the activities of entertainment and catering facilities in Uzbekistan.
Currently, there are no restrictions on leaving the city of Tashkent.
The restrictions are being introduced due to the entry of “Delta” strain, a mutation that initially began to spread in India, into the country. In the second half of June, the incidence of daily illnesses began to rise. An annual anti-record was registered on June 24 – 476 cases. Of these, 135 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 49 cases – in Tashkent region and 89 cases – in Samarkand region.
