2,000 kilometers of centralized heating networks considered inoperable

2,000 kilometers of centralized heating networks in Uzbekistan were rendered ineffective with network losses of average 40 percent, reports the deputy head of the department of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services Sherkhon Suyarov.

He noted that there are 38,229 apartment buildings throughout the republic with approximately 1,228,000 apartments. Of these, 833,547 apartments have central and local boiler houses, individual heating boilers, and Dutch furnaces. The remaining 17,625 apartment buildings or 395,204 apartments use other types of heating equipment and makeshift heating devices.

As of today, 2,000 km of centralized heating networks have become unusable, and network losses are at average 40 percent. In order to prevent such losses in the autumn-winter season of 2021/2022, work on the thorough preparation of auxiliary equipment of boiler and heating networks continues.

In preparation for the autumn-winter season, 51 boiler houses, 715 boilers, 200 km of heating networks, 140 pumping units, as well as more than 100 km of heating networks and their coating are being repaired at the expense of the national and local budgets.
