Ex-officials trying to sell 1 hectare of land in Chilanzar for $1.4 million sentenced to 8 years in prison
The deputy head of the Capital Construction Department under the Tashkent city administration and the head of the Chilanzar district’s investment and foreign trade department were arrested on June 25, 2020, while selling 1 hectare of land in the Chilanzar district for $1.4 million.
A year ago, they were caught red-handed while taking $50,000.
Kun.uz got interested in the latest developments in the criminal case and contacted Sadokat Allaberganova, Chief Adviser for Public and Media Cooperation of the Tashkent City Court.
According to her, the Chilanzar district court on criminal proceedings found both officials guilty of committing crimes under Paragraph “a” of Articles 25, 168-4, 28 and 211 of the Criminal Code. They were sentenced to 1 year of deprivation of the right to hold a managerial post and 8 years of imprisonment.
