Anti-Covid staff names possible causes for tightening lockdown regulations
Sevara Ubaydullayeva, a member of the Anti-Covid staff, explained what can cause tightening quarantine regulations.
During a briefing at the Information and Mass Communications Agency, she explained why strict quarantine is still not introduced, though the number of COVID-19 patients increases sharply.
“Statistics from the Ministry of Health show some increases and decreases in a number of infection cases, but overall the indicators maintain the same level,” she said.
The expert also said that in Uzbekistan, pneumonia patients began to be separated from patients with coronavirus.
“However, we must not lose vigilance, as coronavirus infection cases are still high. There are certain requirements for tightening the quarantine: it is possible only after a calculation of the average number of patients, medical institutions, and resources. If the indicators exceed the established standards, then quarantine rules are tightened,” she concluded.
