SSS officers prevent cases of illegal land sales 

The State Security Service and the Fergana Regional Department for Combating Economic Crimes carried out an operative event. 

According to the SSS press service, a farmer living in the Besharik district agreed to sell 35 hundred square meters of land, located in the Tosharik mahalla, for $29,000. He was arrested at the time of receiving the money. 

During an operative event, organized by the Fergana regional department of the State Security Service, an official promised to fraudulently sell 20 hundred square meters of vacant land, located in the village of Kapchugay of Oltiarik district, for $30,000. He was also arrested while receiving $15,000 in advance. 

A resident of Baghdad district agreed to sell a 4.75-hectare land plot owned by a farmer to a client for $11,000 and promised to issue the documents under his name. During the operation carried out by the SSS officers and employees of the Fergana Regional Department, the citizen was caught with material evidence when he fraudulently received $11,000. 

In another case, a citizen was detained for allocating 8 hectares of land belonging to one of the LLCs in Chartak district for gardening. He tried to extort $7,000 and 31.5 million soums from a client in exchange for formalizing the decision of the district khokim through his acquaintances.

During an operation carried out by officers of the Surkhandarya regional SSS and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, a citizen introduced himself as the head of a farm in the Bandikhan district. He promised to sell 2 hectares of state-owned land for 50 million soums. The fraudster also demanded another 50 million soums to arrange necessary documents. He was caught with material evidence when he received a total of 100 million soums. 

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against wrongdoers under the relevant Articles of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
