People’s Democratic Party nominates candidacy of Maksuda Vorisova for presidency
Maksuda Vorisova will run for the presidency of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan. Earlier, the Ecoparty, the Adolat Party and the Milliy Tiklanish Democratic Party also nominated their chairman as a candidate in the presidential election.
At the IV plenum of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan on August 7, the issue of nominating Maksuda Vorisova as a candidate in the 2021 presidential election was discussed.
During the plenum, it was proposed to nominate Maksuda Vorisova as a candidate and speakers unanimously approved this proposal.
M. Vorisova was born in 1961 in the city of Tashkent. In 1984, she graduated from the Tashkent Medical Institute. For many years in she worked the healthcare system, she also served as Deputy PM – Chairperson of the Women’s Committee, First Deputy Minister of Mahalla and Family Support, Member of the Senate, Member of the Legislative Chamber.
The election campaign of the President of Uzbekistan started on July 23. Five parties – Adolat SDP, Milliy Tiklanish DP, UzLiDeP, People’s Democratic Party and the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan – have the right to nominate their candidates. The election will be held on October 24.
Earlier, the Ecoparty nominated Narzulla Oblomurodov, the Adolat Social Democratic Party – Bakhrom Abdukhalimov, the Milliy Tiklanish party – Alisher Kadirov.
