Ministry of Preschool Education provides information on the state of poisoned children in Akkurgan
The Ministry of Preschool Education reported on the health condition of the pupils of the kindergarten No. 5 of the Akkurgan district of Tashkent region, who were hospitalized in medical institutions with manifestations of intoxication syndrome.
12 children continue treatment in medical institutions, 3 of which are in a state of moderate severity, the condition of 8 children is assessed as average with a positive dynamics of recovery, 1 child is in a satisfactory condition. The Ministry of Preschool Education will provide information on the health condition of children and the results of the investigation.
From August 2 to August 11, children with clinical manifestations of intoxication syndrome were placed in the clinic of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Care, Tashkent City Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 1, Tashkent Regional Children’s Multidisciplinary Medical Center and Akkurgan District Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Specialists of the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases held a consultation. The hospitalized children were diagnosed with “botulism” based on their clinical manifestations.
The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported that a case was initiated on the fact of poisoning of children in kindergarten under Article 257-1 (violation of sanitary legislation or rules for combating epidemics) of the Criminal Code.
