“New Uzbekistan” complex and Independence Monument open in Tashkent
The opening ceremony of the “New Uzbekistan” complex and the Independence Monument dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's independence has begun.
According to a Kun.uz correspondent, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is taking part in the event.

The park embodies the history of national statehood, the current aspirations of the people and the goals of the Third Renaissance. The general appearance of the 104-hectare garden is in the form of five branches of a tree, similar to the directions of the Action Strategy. There are beautiful areas where people can relax in nature.

There has been built a new complex – “Istiqlol”. It reflects the 3,000-year history of Uzbekistan, the great deeds of our ancestors, and the new image of the country.

An open amphitheater with 5,000 seats has been built on an area of more than one hectare. National holidays, cultural and educational events will be held here. The complex is equipped with modern lighting and acoustic systems.
