Shavkat Mirziyoyev to take part in the UNGA session via videoconferencing
On September 21, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the opening of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly via videoconferencing.
The press secretary of the head of state Sherzod Asadov reported about it.
“Tomorrow, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will take part in the videoconference mode in the opening ceremony of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. On its very first day, he will speak at a high-level general political debate,” he said.
The 76th session of the UN General Assembly opened on September 14. A high-level week will take place from September 21 to 27. This year the session resumed its work in face-to-face format. The leaders of 83 states, 43 heads of government and foreign ministers of 23 countries are expected to arrive in New York for the high-level week.
The session focuses on topics such as preventing the COVID-19 pandemic, restoring resilience, responding to the needs of the planet, respecting human rights and reviving the UN
