Presidential law determines material responsibility of the military servicemen

The law “On amendments and additions to the law “On general military service and military service” was signed by the President.

According to the Ministry of Justice, a number of new commissions will be set up.

For recruiting citizens for military service, the followings will be established:

ꞏ board of directors under the defense departments of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent;
ꞏ in the assembly points of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent - the military medical commission;
ꞏ commission on consolidation of the Armed Forces under the district (city) defense departments;
ꞏ for conscription to alternative service, enlistment in the mobilization reserve, deferment of conscription and transfer to the reserve of the Armed Forces – the territorial commission under the defense departments;
ꞏ regional medical commission under the defense department for conducting medical examinations of conscripts, determining their level of health and sending them for treatment.

The financial responsibility of servicemen, cadets of higher educational institutions, conscripts called up for military training and those serving in the mobilization reserve has been established.

In this case, these persons may be held financially liable for 3 years from the date of discovery of the damage.
