During a special raid conducted by the Ministry of Energy on September 20-24, 2021, 67 cases of illegal use of natural gas were identified. In these cases, almost 1.4 million cubic meters of natural gas were consumed illegally. The ministerial press service told Kun.uz.
It was noted that a special raid conducted on September 20-24, it was revealed that a total of 1 million 379 thousand cubic meters of natural gas was used illegally. For comparison, this volume of natural gas currently accounts for 1 day of gas consumption of 130,000 households. The highest number of cases of illegal use accounts for Khorezm, Fergana and Tashkent regions.
In the first 9 months of this year, a total of 2,535 cases of illegal use of natural gas were detected in the country. As a result, 86 million 923 thousand cubic meters of natural gas (worth 77 billion 877 million soums) were used illegally. If these numbers are compared, this amount is currently the annual consumption of about 40,000 households.
In the autumn-winter period of 2021-2022, 18 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be supplied to legal consumers and 11 billion cubic meters to the population. This is more by 3 billion cubic meters than the last season.
The ministry also said that 318,600 tons of liquefied gas will be supplied to consumers in the autumn-winter season. This figure is more by 13,000 tons than the last year.
It was noted that the collected information on all identified cases was submitted to the prosecutor’s office for taking an appropriate action.
