Cement prices drop in Uzbekistan

Cement prices have fallen by an average of 2.4% since the beginning of the year.
According to the State Statistics Committee's consumer price monitoring data, cement prices fell by an average of 0.4% in September compared to August.
“The prices for cement have dropped by an average of 2.4% since the beginning of 2021,” the committee said.
In January-August 2021, Uzbekistan imported 1.9 million tons of cement for $95.8 million. This is more by 555 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.
In 8 months, the country produced almost 8 million tons of cement.
