Tashkent metro transferred from Uzbekistan Railways to Transport Ministry 

Tashkent metro was transferred from Uzbekistan Railways JSC to the Ministry of Transport and transformed into the SUE “Toshkent metropoliteni”.

The head of the SUE “Toshkent metropoliteni” will be appointed by the Minister of Transport in coordination with the Cabinet of Ministers.

Until January 1, 2024, the SUE “Toshkent metropoliteni” will be exempt from customs duties (except for VAT and customs duties) on the import of goods not produced in the country and imported according to the relevant list.

The resolution approved a plan of priority measures to ensure the safety of passenger transportation and train traffic in the Tashkent metro in 2021-2023.
