FM Abdulaziz Kamilov holds talks with European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a telephone conversation with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell.
“During the conversation, the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, as well as upcoming events in the EU-Central Asia and Uzbekistan-EU format were discussed,” the Foreign Ministry said.
The parties also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan.
“The European side highly appreciated the measures taken by Uzbekistan to help establish peace and stability in the neighboring country, as well as to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people,” the ministry added.
