Some category of teachers to receive a special allowance
A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to attract teachers from other regions to teaching at schools with a low level of education” was adopted.
From March 1, 2021, special allowances have been established to the base tariff rate for teachers and teachers with the highest and first categories involved in teaching at schools with a low level of education from other regions, Norma reports.
In this case, special allowances are paid in the amount of:
· 50% of the base wage rate for teachers and educators who have moved to work from other districts and cities within the same administrative-territorial unit;
· 100% of the base wage rate for teachers and educators who have transferred to work from other administrative-territorial units.
It is also determined that:
· teachers and lecturers with the highest and first categories and who have worked in other regions for at least one year are involved in teaching at schools with a low level of education;
· the list of schools with a low level of education is formed by the Ministry of Public Education and the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Education Quality and is published on the official website of the Ministry of Public Education;
· a special incentive is also paid in the year following the year of exclusion of a school from the list of schools with a low level of education.
The document establishes that special allowances are paid in the presence of an internationally recognized certificate in one of the general education subjects or a certificate of knowledge of general education subjects.
The document approved the regulation on the procedure for attracting teachers from other regions to teaching at schools with a low level of education. It provides for:
· procedure for the formation of a list of schools with a low level of education by the Ministry of Public Education and the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Education Quality;
· a scheme for attracting teachers from other regions to teaching at schools with a low level of education;
· requirements for teachers;
· procedure for hiring teachers from other regions and paying allowances.
