Uzbekistan plans to compile a list of gov’t positions that may be a source of corruption
Uzbekistan is planning to compile a list of public positions that may be a source of corruption or serve it.
According to the draft government decree, government agencies will begin to study the level of corruption in the regions.
Based on the results of the study, the Anti-Corruption Agency will develop an action plan to minimize the risk of corruption, compile a list of positions at risk of bribery.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan would establish regional anti-corruption councils in provinces and khokims of Tashkent city and regions would be appointed as chairmen of territorial councils for combating corruption. The decisions of these councils will become binding on state and public organizations. At council meetings, the chairman’s vote will be decisive.
