Kyrgyzstan prepares all documents for construction of a railway from China to Uzbekistan
Kyrgyzstan, for its part, has completed all design work for the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov announced this today, October 27, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Economist reports.
According to him, the ministers have prepared all the necessary agreements. 280 km of the railway will pass through the territory of Kyrgyzstan, of which 57 km will go through tunnels.
Japarov added that the borders with China are now closed due to the coronavirus.
“When China opens its borders and the visit of President Sadyr Japarov takes place, this issue will be discussed and decided,” the statement says.
