Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Iran discuss issues of interaction in resolving Afghan crisis

The parties discussed the current level of bilateral relations, prospects for trade and economic cooperation in various fields, the MFA press service said.
During the meeting, the sides focused on the issue of political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs.
They gave priority to discussing the efforts of Uzbekistan and Iran to resolve the Afghan crisis, key areas of Uzbek-Iranian interaction in the joint implementation of various infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
The Iranian side expressed its readiness to actively contribute to the establishment of a long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
