Citizen of Uzbekistan detained for trying to illegally transport $373,000 to Kyrgyzstan
As part of the fight against illegal circulation of currency values, employees of the SSS regional departments in Namangan and Fergana held operational events.
During the operational event in Fergana region bordering Kyrgyzstan, a Nexia-3 car, driven by a local resident born in 1980, was stopped and inspected.
Reportedly, as a result of the examination of the car's interior, $373,717 were found. The money was being illegally taken out of the country into Kyrgyzstan through bypass roads. It was seized in the procedural order.
In addition, during the operational search activities, his accomplice, a resident of the Altyaryk district, born in 1991, was also detained.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the defendants under the relevant article of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.
