Foreign Minister Kamilov hosts Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Uzbekistan
On November 2, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Yousef al-Utaibi.
Accepting copies of his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his activities in Uzbekistan and wished him success in this responsible post.
The sides expressed their mutual readiness to continue a regular dialogue and build up practical cooperation, including through political consultations between foreign ministries and meetings of the Intergovernmental Commissions on Trade, Economics, Science and Technology, Culture, Sports and Youth.
Special attention was paid to the issues of joint implementation of investment projects in the fields of energy, agriculture and tourism.
During the talks, other issues of mutual interest were also considered.
