Normat Tursunov expected to replace Kobul Tursunov as Navoi region khokim

The information that the board chairman of the People’s Bank Shuhrat Atabaev will head Navoi region has not been confirmed, Normat Tursunov is coming to the region’s leadership.

Currently, an extraordinary session of the Navoi regional council of people's deputies is being held. Organizational issues are being considered at the session.

According to Kun.uz sources, the khokim of the region Kobul Tursunov will be replaced by Normat Tursunov.

Normat Tursunov was formerly the head of the State Tax Administration of Navoi region, in 2017-2018 he was the Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee, and since June 2018 he has been working as the head of the State Tax Administration of Tashkent city.

Earlier, several sources reported that Kabul Tursunov, who had been the governor of Navoi region since 2016, was expected to be relieved of his post and replaced by Shuhrat Atabaev, the board chairman of the People’s Bank. However, this news is not confirmed.
