Uzbekistan increases meat imports

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-September 2021, Uzbekistan imported 21,109 tons of meat.

Meat imports increased by 6,865 tons compared to the same period last year, the committee said.

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported meat mainly from:

Belarus – 14,403 tons
Kazakhstan – 3,220 tons
Ukraine – 2,018 tons
Russia – 559 tons
Moldova – 540 tons

Uzbekistan produced 1.9 million tons of meat in the first 9 months of 2021.
