The documents were inked following talks between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.
The two presidents signed an agreement establishing a High-Level Council for Business Cooperation. The new body is intended to promote business ties and facilitate cooperation between companies in the two countries.

The two sides also signed several agreements covering trade, social security and customs cooperation.

These include a protocol expanding the list of goods eligible for preferential treatment under the bilateral preferential trade agreement, as well as an intergovernmental agreement on social security and an administrative agreement setting out how it will be implemented.

Another document amends the protocol signed on March 29, 2022, on the advance exchange of information about goods and vehicles crossing the two countries' borders.

The agreements are intended to facilitate trade, create better conditions for businesses and strengthen social protection for Uzbek and Turkish citizens.
