Nearly 2,000 people killed in traffic accidents over 10 months
In January-October 2021, 7,684 traffic accidents were registered in Uzbekistan.

As a result of car accidents, 1,964 people died and 6,886 were injured.
Reportedly, the largest number of traffic accidents were recorded in Fergana region – 1,173, followed by Tashkent region – 1,023, the city of Tashkent – 842 and Samarkand region – 825.
3,441 accidents involved pedestrians, 1,268 – children, 867 – cyclists and 62 – motorcyclists.
The number of traffic accidents involving pedestrians and children has increased sharply over the past 5 months.
