Deputy prosecutor in Jizzakh region detained for taking $8,000 in bribe
The deputy prosecutor of the Yangiobod district of Jizzakh region has been detained by SSS officers while taking $8,000 in bribe.

“On November 15, at about 4.30 pm, during a joint operation with law enforcement officers, the deputy prosecutor of the Yangiobod district of Jizzakh region was detained while receiving $8,000 in bribe. Currently, a criminal case is initiated against him under the relevant article of the Criminal Code,” Hayot Shamsutdinov, a spokesman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, told Kun.uz.
A few days ago, the Andijan regional prosecutor’s office reported that a senior official had been arrested while receiving $15,000 in bribe.
In Jizzakh region, SSS officers arrested a district prosecutor for taking a bribe of $2,000 and a deputy district prosecutor in Samarkand region for receiving a bribe of $10,000.
