The Ministry of Emergency Situations commented on the situation, Uznews.uz reported.
Allegedly, 50 people were trapped in the sand during the excavation of gold sand in Zarafshan.
Today, a report went viral on social networks that 40-50 people were covered in sand while digging down gold in a place called Lolazor in Zarafshan. The ministerial information service commented on the situation.
“The Navoi regional emergency situations department has not received any information about the incident. Currently, the regional emergency situations department is conducting a joint investigation with the relevant services. Additional information will be provided by the competent authorities,” the report reads.
