Corpses of two people found in a gold mine in Samarkand
It is said that they are persons who illegally entered the mine in the special uniform of miners. 2 sacks of ore stones containing gold were found near the dead.
On the way to the loading point of the Zarmitan gold mine, which is located in the territory of the Kushrabat district (Samarkand region), the bodies of two young men with severe injuries were found.
One of the dead boys was born in 1999 and the other - in 2003. They were residents of the Mayintepa village, Kushrabat district.
The PGO press secretary informed Kun.uz that the incident took place on June 28, 2023. The guys were dressed as miners and had 2 sacks of ore stones weighing 94 kilograms.
It was reported that the young men entered the mine illegally to loot ore stones containing gold. They were discovered by the operator of a self-propelled vehicle returning to the loading point.
According to preliminary information, the guys who entered the mine illegally may have been run over by the operator of the self-propelled vehicle. Because the cabin of the self-propelled car is on its side, and there is a possibility that the guys are out of the operator's vision on the opposite side of the car's direction of travel.
Members of the operative investigation team and experts of the Kyzilkum mine technical inspection are about to inspect the scene of the incident. An investigation is currently underway.
