Russia to open eight branches of universities in Uzbekistan

 Eight more Russian universities intend to open branches in Uzbekistan, the rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichiy said at the second Russian-Uzbek educational forum, which began on November 16 at Moscow State University, Gazeta.uz reports.

According to Viktor Sadovnichiy, the opening of the three branches is at the final stages of signing and “in the near future they will open their doors to Uzbek students”.

At the forum, it was also noted that in the next academic year, the quota for free education for Uzbek students in Russian universities can be increased by 750 seats, which is three times more than in 2018.
