Man arrested in Tashkent for making weapons at his home

During a search of the citizen’s residence, a revolver and a pistol were found by law enforcement officers, Uznews.uz reports.
According to the Tashkent city police department, during the “Safe Zone” preventive measures carried out on November 17, 48-year-old A., who had been previously convicted, was detained for engaging in the manufacture of weapons at his own home.
When law enforcement officers searched the citizen’s residence, a revolver and a pistol were found, which were sent for ballistic examination.
“According to the results of the examination, a legal assessment of the citizen’s behavior will be made,” the report said.
It is noted that Article 248 of the Criminal Code (“Illegal possession of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices”) provides for liability for this act.
