Citizens of Uzbekistan permitted to trade cryptocurrencies
The National Project Management Agency (NAFT) has officially permitted citizens of Uzbekistan to conduct “all kinds of crypto trading and exchanges involving crypto assets and tokens in exchange for national and foreign currencies.”
The document amends the Regulation on the procedure for licensing the activities of crypto exchanges adopted on January 1, 2019.
Now residents of Uzbekistan have the right to carry out all types of transactions with crypto assets and tokens in the national currency (UZS). Non-residents, in the meantime, can only sell crypto assets in foreign currency.
