Uzbekistan’s rice production up by nearly 3%

According to the State Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2021, about 116 thousand tons of rice were grown by all types of farms in Uzbekistan.

Rice production increased by 2.9% compared to the same period last year.

As of October 1, 2021, the regions with the largest rice production:

• Khorezm region - 58.2 thousand tons
• Andijan region - 25.3 thousand tons
• Fergana region - 14.5 thousand tons
• Syrdarya region - 5.6 thousand tons
• Tashkent region - 5.5 thousand tons
• Namangan region - 5.3 thousand tons
