Uzbekistan and Thailand to deepen cooperation in trade, agriculture, and tourism
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ilhom Khaydarov, held a meeting with Thailand's Honorary Consul in Uzbekistan, Zafar Ergashov. The discussion focused on advancing the timely implementation of agreements made during the recent visit of a Thai business delegation to Uzbekistan, led by Thailand's Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Busadee Santipitaks, from July 19-25.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral trade and explore opportunities for the transfer of advanced technologies and investments in Uzbekistan's agriculture and food production sectors, where Thailand has significant expertise.
In addition to economic discussions, the two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties, including the development of specialized tourism packages aimed at attracting travelers from Thailand to Uzbekistan.
The meeting underscored the commitment of both countries to deepening their cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, technology, and tourism.
