Payment received, now wait! UzAuto Motors again delays car delivery to customers

UzAuto Motors has announced that it will not be able to meet its car delivery obligations in November and December.

Customers who made advance payments for cars that were supposed to be delivered by the end of November kept their hopes up until the very last day, before the monopolist company shattered their hopes into pieces announcing that “they should wait for two more months.”

“The reason is the delay with the shipment of microchips and the current global logistics problems,” the company said.

Those who should have received their cars by November 30, now will have to wait until the end of January. The cars promised for December will be delivered in February, unless another statement comes from the company in February 2022 with a request asking the customers to wait even more.

It is noteworthy that people in Uzbekistan pay a certain amount of the car price in advance and wait for the delivery of the vehicle from 1 to 7-8 months in some cases. In other words, the company takes money for a product before its production is even launched. This is a very rare practice in the world market.

According to UzAvtoSavdo_bot data, about 90 thousand people have paid in advance and are currently waiting for the delivery of their cars.

Although some foreign brands have entered the market of Uzbekistan (Hyundai, Lada) recently, over 90% of the market is filled with UzAuto Motors (Chevrolet brand) cars.

Importing foreign-made vehicles costs the double amount of their actual prices due to a number of taxes and duties. So people have no choice but to deal with the company’s “naughtiness.”
