According to the National Statistics Committee, Chevrolet Cobalt remained the country's dominant model, accounting for nearly one in every three passenger cars produced between January and May.

A total of 69,302 Cobalt vehicles rolled off production lines during the reporting period, far outpacing all other models.

Damas ranked second with 35,269 units, followed by the Tracker with 18,519 and Onix with 15,157.

Other manufacturers also expanded their presence in the domestic automotive industry. Production reached 11,128 units for Kia vehicles, 10,120 for BYD models, 4,038 for Haval vehicles and 3,156 for Chery.

In addition, manufacturers produced 23,791 special-purpose passenger vehicles during the first five months of the year.

The latest figures underline the continued dominance of Cobalt in Uzbekistan's automotive industry, with the model accounting for almost one-third of all passenger cars produced nationwide during the January–May period.
