Melon and watermelon exports bring Uzbekistan $22 million

This year, melons and watermelons grown in Uzbekistan were exported to 23 foreign markets, the volume of exports decreased by 23.2 thousand tons compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan exported melons and watermelons mainly to:

• Kazakhstan - 33.3 thousand tons
• Russia - 20.2 thousand tons
• Kyrgyzstan - 13.8 thousand tons
• Ukraine - 5.6 thousand tons
• Latvia - 2.9 thousand tons
• Belarus - 1.4 thousand tons
• Tajikistan - 1.4 thousand tons
• Germany - 1.2 thousand tons
