Certain category of public administration employees to receive an additional bonus from January 1

This is stated in the presidential decree “On measures to raise to a qualitatively new level of popularization of the study of foreign languages   in the Republic of Uzbekistan”. 

“In order to increase the level of assimilation of foreign languages   by civil servants and staffing of state bodies with highly qualified and competitive personnel, starting from January 1, 2022, employees of all levels of government bodies who have a national and corresponding international certificate in foreign languages   shall pay an additional supplement in the amount of up to 20% of the official salary at the expense of extra-budgetary funds, as well as budgetary funds within the wage fund of organizations,” the resolution says.

In addition, from July 1 of this year, state bodies were supposed to establish the practice of teaching employees a foreign language at least once a week with the involvement of teachers of educational organizations on a contractual basis.
