Uzbekistan to hold National Olympic Games in 2022
In Uzbekistan, measures are being taken to hold the National Olympiad in Olympic and national sports, this is stated in the draft “Roadmap” for the implementation of the Development Strategy for 2022-2026 in 2022.
It was noted that a program for the National Olympic Games will be developed. The infrastructure of sports facilities where sports games are held will be improved and equipped with the necessary sports equipment.
Arrangements will be made to organize the National Olympic Games at a high level and to provide appropriate awards for winners and awardees. The preparations for the National Olympic Games will receive extensive media coverage, including on the Internet.
It is also planned to improve the qualifications of coaches and specialists in sports education institutions.
The current share of 54% of coaches with higher education working at the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports and its branches will increase to 62% in 2022. Graduates of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports and its branches will be employed in sports and educational institutions.
