Statistics Committee names provinces with highest GDP
The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan has named regions with the highest GDP for January-September 2021.
According to the committee, the city of Tashkent topped the list with 87.8 trillion soums of GDP during the reporting period.
The TOP-5 includes Tashkent region (57.2 trillion soums), Navoi region (42 trillion soums), Samarkand region (37.8 trillion soums) and Fergana region (33.6 trillion soums).
In the 9 months of 2021, the GDP of Kashkadarya region was 31.7 trillion soums, Andijan region – 30.4 trillion soums, Bukhara region – 27.4 trillion soums, Namangan region – 24.1 trillion soums, Surkhandarya region – 21.4 trillion soums and Khorezm region – 18.9 trillion soums.
Regions with the lowest GDP were Karakalpakistan (18.1 trillion soums), Jizzakh region (15.9 trillion soums) and Syrdarya region (11 trillion soums).
