It was planned that the head coach of the national team Srečko Katanec would arrive from Slovenia to the meeting in Dubai. However, a test carried out just before his departure gave a positive result.
Thus, the Slovenian specialist will be forced to undergo quarantine in his homeland.
“We hope that when the quarantine period ends, our coach will return to the leadership of the national team, having restored his health,” the UFA noted.
In addition, when the team arrived in Dubai, all members of the delegation passed the PCR test. According to the test results, Khojimat Erkinov also tested positive for coronavirus. For this reason, the player was quarantined.
