Uzbekistan’s national football team will play Iran in a friendly match in Fergana next month.

According to the Uzbekistan Football Association, the match will take place on 24 September at Istiqlol Stadium as part of the FIFA international match window.

Uzbekistan and Iran have faced each other five times, with Uzbekistan winning twice – in the final of the 2025 CAFA Nations Cup and the final of the Al Ain International Cup. The other three matches ended in draws.

Uzbekistan is currently ranked 60th in the FIFA World Ranking, while Iran is in 22nd place.
