On January 12, Tashkent hosted a meeting dedicated to measures for high-quality coverage of the process of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being, in particular, vaccination. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov.

“Unfortunately, there are cases of receiving false vaccination documents among the population. They do not seem to realize that they are putting their lives and health at risk. I am concerned that even the vaccination process is subject to corruption. Let’s give people some time. If there is no expected result, then vaccination will become mandatory,” Abdukhakimov said during his speech.

He stressed that the penetration of the omicron strain into the country was the result of the carelessness of citizens.

Abdukhakimov also noted that currently all types of vaccines are available in Uzbekistan and work continues on free vaccination.
