Suspended traffic movement on Takhtakoracha pass restored
According to the Road Safety Department of the Interior Ministry, suspended traffic on the Takhtakoracha pass has been restored.

The pass connects Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions.
The reason for suspending traffic movement was to prevent various accidents due to heavy snowfall.
To clear roads from snow and remove ice, a mixture of sand and salt is sprinkled.
Earlier, Uzhydromet warned of heavy precipitation at the Kamchik pass as well.
On January 19, in the area of the Kamchik pass, snowfall is expected, visibility will drop to 50 meters. Wind speed may also increase to 17-22 meters per second, ice and snow drifts may occur on the road.
